Vision
EagleBAT was founded in June 2023 by Walter Legerstee, a recognized expert in battery technology. Walter has been active in battery research since 1998 and holds a PhD in battery technology. His expertise lies in battery aging processes and the development of novel materials, forming the scientific backbone of EagleBAT.
He is joined by Tanja van Dijk, CEO and responsible for strategic leadership and company development.
Kajsa van Overbeek specializes in intellectual property processes. She ensures that EagleBAT's technical innovations are thoroughly assessed and protected through robust patent strategies.
EagleBAT’s philosophy is to attract, develop, and retain young, highly talented professionals by investing in their education and long-term commitment, enabling them to take over key roles in the future. In line with this vision, Electrotechnical Engineer Mischa Rozema and Engineering Physicist Annika Zijlstra have joined EagleBAT. The multidisciplinary team is further strengthened by Noah Legerstee, student of international management.
